Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) showcase new mobile lab

The first face-to-face meeting of the Eurydice Project partners since the project started in the beginning of 2020 took place in September 2022. The meetings started at CUT 26-27 September 2022, followed by TUT on 28 September at the Pretoria campus. The meeting was held at the Dean’s office boardroom. The Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment, the Head of International Partnerships at TUT, and the Faculty Marketer attended the meeting, together with international partners from Ulm University of Applied Sciences (UUAS) and Budapest University of Technology (BME).

The discussions covered TUT’s role in all work packages with a special focus on how traffic can be increased on the Industry Portal, which is currently in place. The Portal was developed by TUT. This was followed by a visit to the Electrical Workshop to view the remote and mobile laboratories that are currently being implemented. The team then made a tour of the TUT Solar Car workshop.

In the afternoon, a visit to the incubator site in Hatfield was also conducted. This site will be featured in the Acceleration Program to equip students with all the necessary entrepreneurial skills required to complete the Program.
