ELMS is an online portal used to link renewable energy companies to students and universities in South Africa. The system is developed to meet the following objectives:
- Career services and graduate recruitment events management,
- Alumni management,
- Electronically keep track of all students who have acquired employment,
- Electronic records of the companies that take on students,
- A place for companies to post job adverts, vocational work, funding and projects
- A place for students to post their CVs and apply for advertised job opportunities,
- Accreditation bodies such as ECSA, DHET Reports,
- Online portfolio of evidence for students,
- Recruitment services media and resources,
- Interview process management.
The ELMS is easily accessible by different mediums such as smart phones, tablets and computers. ELMS server is a centralized component and access to it is through web service API calls. Any device with the right authentication protocols and internet service will be able to have access to it. Mobile App for students is currently being developed.
